Human Resource Manager (Talent Acquisition and Recruitment)

The Human Resource Manager (Talent Acquisition and Recruitment) is a mid-to-senior level role on our team who will spend majority of their time designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating strategies to identify and recruit top-level talent across Africa.

Specific responsibilities

Some specific responsibilities for the Human Resource Manager (Talent Acquisition and Recruitment) will include:

· Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing

· Execute different recruitment, sourcing, and retention strategies to attract and retain top employees.

· Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate a company-wide talent acquisition strategy.

· Design and implement effective sourcing strategies that can significantly expand your talent pool and streamline hiring processes.

· Work to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in sourcing and recruitment.

· Evaluate company structure and design to achieve business goals through workforce planning and talent management strategies.

· Provide targeted support to our technical writing and partnerships team to build a talent database to support consolidation and expansions across the continent.

· Ensure that talent acquisition and recruitment practices comply with labour laws and regulations and manage HR-related risks and legal matters to protect the organisation; and

· Review metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition and recruitment and make data-driven recommendations to improve these processes.

Competency requirements

The Human Resource Manager (Talent Acquisition and Recruitment) will hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related fields. An advanced degree in business administration or human resources would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant experience preferably in health and healthcare in international settings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of labour and employment laws, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is an added advantage. The candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, strong organisational, time-management, and prioritisation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable showing flexibility and adaptability to handle changing business priorities, show attention to detail, and have the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
